Fiorella Pasta Bar to Close at Durango Casino
Not every piece of spaghetti thrown against the wall sticks.
Such is the case with Fiorella Pasta Bar at Durango Casino. The restaurant’s last day of service will be March 27, 2026.
The casino says blah blah “part of the larger food and beverage strategy” blah blah “evaluating the offerings” blah blah “within the food hall” blah blah. Translation: It wasn’t successful, despite being from a respected chef, Marc Vetri.

Durango’s Eat Your Heart Out food hall has some solid offerings, and by that we mean everything but Prince Street Pizza and the oyster place, but that’s mostly because oysters are nature’s phlegm.
Otherwise, solid.
Fiorella Pasta Bar was quite good, but doesn’t appear to have been a fit for a food court.

Here’s the full statement from Station Casinos, without the blahs: “As previously announced, Durango Casino & Resort recently began construction of its North Phase or (Phase III) expansion, which will include the addition of three new, to-be-announced restaurant concepts. As part of the larger food and beverage strategy for the property and evaluating the offerings within the food hall, Fiorella Pasta Bar’s last day of service will be March 27. We are incredibly grateful to Marc Vetri and his team for their partnership and for the many memorable dining experiences they have created for our guests. We look forward to sharing details about Fiorella’s replacement soon.”
In other words, while that blurb didn’t really convey anything enlightening, it did save face for everyone involved, and also we needed more verbiage to increase our story’s word count so it looks like we exerted some effort.
The signs of distress were there for the petite restaurant well before the decision to close. Somewhere along the way, the name was changed to Fiorella Pasta Bar, but it was originally called Osteria Fiorella.

Osteria Fiorella opened when Durango Casino did, on December 5, 2023.
By just about every measurement, Durango Casino has been a big hit for Station Casinos (Red Rock Resorts).
It appears Fiorella Pasta Bar will become a Mexican restaurant, so there’s that. Any time an Italian restaurant becomes a Mexican restaurant (or any other kind of restaurant for that matter), an angel loses its wings.
We’re sort of using the term “restaurant” loosely here, by the way.
Durango’s food court has several concepts with spaces that are built out like they are restaurants, but they’re all in the footprint of the food court.
Less space means a smaller kitchen, which means a more limited menu. Less space also means fewer seats and fewer covers (customers), which means less revenue and smaller margins.

If the name Marc Vetri sounds familiar, it’s because he had a restaurant at Palms, Vetri Cucina. That restaurant closed September 27, 2025.
In the world of Las Vegas restaurants, one cannot become too attached. Fiorella Pasta Bar had 3.5 stars (out of five) on Yelp, 4.6 stars (out of five) on Open Table and 3.8 stars (out of five) on TripAdvisor, for whatever that’s worth.
In our expert opinion, and in the parlance of foodie culture, something was off.
Onward and Mexicanward. We’ll stick with the chicken parm sandwich from Uncle Paulie’s, also in Durango’s food hall.
Better yet, we’ll save up for the French Dip at Nicco’s, one of the best sandwiches we’ve ever had.

Pass on neighboring Ai Pono Cafe, it was disappointing.
