Confirmed: Boa Steakhouse is Coming Back to The Strip at Venetian/Palazzo
The fine folks at Boa Steakhouse have been kind enough to confirm some scoop we shared back in Dec. 2024. The restaurant will open in the Grand Canal Shoppes in summer 2025.
Boa previously operated in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, but closed in 2012 after seven years.
Boa will move into the space vacated by the closed Villa Azur, a “clubstaurant,” which is pretty much a one-word reason we never went there.

Villa Azur opened at Venetian/Palazzo in Nov. 2022. It closed Dec. 7. 2024. So, a petite run.
For whatever reason, expensive and loud don’t always equate to economic viability.
A few months before it closed, Villa Azur caused a kerfuffle when it closed overnight due to a rent dispute, and by “dispute” we mean they didn’t pay their rent.

Bygones!
We’re mostly here to remind you, our pulchritudinous blog post skimmer, we shared the Villa Azur replacement news more than a month before those attribution-challenged boneheads at the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Congrats to them for eventually getting around to confirming our scoop, though.
Follow-up to the follow-up: Villa Azur will reportedly be replaced by BOA Steakhouse, formerly at Forum Shops. https://t.co/MEOwMbreof https://t.co/6pjIWJA645

So, why did Boa close at Forum Shops? Successful restaurants don’t close in Las Vegas.
Why, then, would a restaurant that closed in one resort mall open in another? Because Las Vegas was built on optimism!
Let’s just say Villa Azur’s location didn’t help it succeed. Boa will be near Sushi Samba, Kamu Karaoke, The X Pot and Grimaldi’s Pizzeria. Here’s a map (.pdf).
Boa has several successful locations, although it’s possible those locations are successful because there aren’t 156 world-class steakhouses nearby.
Boa can be found in Manhattan Beach, West Hollywood and Santa Monica in California, as well as in Austin, Texas.

You can read more about Boa on the official Web site. Fair warning, if it’s possible to be bored to death, you’ll want to have your affairs in order, just saying.
We are not kidding, “Whether visiting on the Sunset Strip or by the Santa Monica coastline, BOA is an unforgettable experience through and through. We focus on every detail of a guest’s visit, down to our Wine Spectator award-winning wine selection and craft cocktails by in-house mixologists. This dedication to quality and originality makes BOA a favorite among celebrities and Hollywood’s elite as well as our locals and visitors from around the world.”
ChatGPT is laughing its ass off right now.
Stay tuned for further hoopla as we count down to Boa’s return to the Las Vegas Strip.
