Crazy Horse III Closes Under Mysterious Circumstances After 17 Years
One of the best-known strip clubs in Las Vegas, Crazy Horse III, has abruptly closed after nearly 17 years in business.
That’s pretty much the whole story, but we take our blogging responsibilities seriously, so we are using this as an opportunity to make a dad-quality joke about a strip club’s business sagging. We don’t even know if that’s the reason the club closed. Nobody seems to know.
The bottom line is it looks like the Crazy Horse III went bust. We will show ourself out.
Crazy Horse III was located at 3525 W. Russell Road. It’s still there, it’s just not open.
The club reportedly shut its doors on Aug. 11, 2026, with little warning to customers or employees.
Management claims the closure is temporary, but no reopening date has been announced. All signs point to management working through some financial issues. Online rumors suggest the club wasn’t able to pay its bills or insurance. It’s worth noting VegasKickback.com, a site used by taxi and rideshare drivers to track strip club commissions, has several June 2026 complaints alleging Crazy Horse III wasn’t paying (or was finding reasons not to pay) driver commissions.
Crazy Horse III opened on Sept. 4, 2009, so the closure comes just a few weeks short of its 17th anniversary.
The club is operated by Russell Road Food and Beverage LLC.
The “Crazy Horse” name has a colorful (translation: sticky) history in Las Vegas, mostly because it harkens back to the unrelated Crazy Horse Too. Crazy Horse Too closed in August 2007.
Crazy Horse III doesn’t own the land under the club. Clark County records say the 4.25-acre parcel is owned by S N Investment Properties LLC. That entity has historically been part of Harsch Investment Properties, the Portland real estate company known as Schnitzer Properties.
That’s not “fluff,” by the way. That trivia might win you a bar bet someday.
So, for now, Crazy Horse III is closed and there’s no announced return date.
The Crazy Horse III Instagram account has a vague post about how grateful the club is for the “continued support surrounding Crazy Horse III.” Management looks forward to sharing additional updates soon.
Many Crazy Horse III dancers are showing up at other gentlemen’s clubs. Reportedly.
It’s hard to know how many women have been displaced (it could be as many as 200), as they aren’t full-time employees, but rather independent contractors. Dancers pay a house fee to work, much like hair stylists, tattoo artists and massage therapists.
Adult entertainers and strip clubs are an important part of the Las Vegas ecosystem.
Purse stores, car dealerships, nail salons, hair salons, lingerie shops, shoe stores, tanning salons, plastic surgeons and rideshare drivers all feel the ripple effects when dancers are out of work.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the closure of Crazy Horse III, and hope the club will be able to get its footing and reopen again soon. It goes without saying we’ll keep you abreast of any new developments.
