- He’s wanted in his home country of Kazakhstan
- The Tribeca condo is on the market for $8 million, slightly less than what he paid for it
Anarbek Zhauyrov, the Kazakhstani national that’s wanted in his home country and known as the founder of the Olympus online sportsbook, is selling one of his New York City properties.

The betting mogul listed his three-bedroom condo in the city’s tony Tribeca neighborhood for $8 million, slightly less than the $8.1 million property records indicate was paid for the property eight years ago. Zhauyrov’s Olympus bet holds a Curacao gaming license and is permitted to book bets in Russia, but its considered a gray, if not a black market operator in much of Western Europe and it’s not available to North American bettors.
It’s not clear why Zhauyrov is selling his Tribeca pad, but it marks the latest high-priced listing in New York City courtesy of a gaming industry titan. Last December, Steve Wynn lowered the price on his 10,875-square-foot penthouse located on the 30th and 31st floors of 50 Central Park South by $20 million, indicating he’s prepared to, at best, breakeven on that property.
Zhauyrov Owns Multiple Pricey US Properties
The Tribeca condo that’s on the market is one of multiple US properties, both commercial and residential owned by Zhauyrov who’s wanted in his home country for tax evasion.
He’s the owner of five New York City apartments and a mansion in the suburbs, according to the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP). In 2021, the group estimated the value of the bookmaker’s New York properties to be $16.4 million on a combined basis, but that figure is likely significantly higher today.
He also owns a multi-million-dollar apartment in Boston, an apartment and office building in Miami and a high-priced apartment in Bal Harbor, Fl. His Florida residential real estate holdings were worth an estimated $14.3 million combined four years ago, but that number is also likely much higher today.
OCCRP says Zhauyrov lives in the US where he supposedly sources the bulk of his income from renting out some of the aforementioned properties.
His wife and brother are listed as the official owners of the companies that control Olympus and affiliated internet sportsbooks, but some legal experts that’s no more than legal maneuvering to keep Anarbek Zhauyrov out of legal crosshairs. In 2022, accounts with ties to Olympus holding $212 million were seized with Russia’s Internal Ministry of Affairs pledging to work Kazakh authorities to gain access to the funds and bring potential criminals to justice.
“The Department of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Almaty, together with the prosecutor’s office, initiated a pre-trial investigation into the organization of an illegal gambling business by the administration of the Olimp bookmaker,” reports RusCrime.
Zhauyrov Lives Big, Shows it on Social Media
Zhauyrov isn’t bashful about flaunting his lavish lifestyle and wealth on social media, where he’s widely followed by an array of Russian celebrities.
One of his Instagram posts shows him at the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip and another shows him in Bal Harbor with famed French footballer Thiery Henry.
Other posts show him traveling in Bora Bora and Brazil or showing of his automobile collection, which includes a Rolls Royce Phantom. The 2025 version of that car can cost upwards of $613,000.
