New Jersey Online Slot Hits for $1.2 Million; Pales in Comparison to These Jackpots

A New Jersey online slot machine recently hit for more than $1.24 million on the Caesars Palace Online Casino platform. It marked the biggest win in the history of Caesars Entertainment’s iGaming operations.
Caesars revealed on Tuesday that the landmark win came on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2026. The online casino gambler, who wished to remain anonymous, was playing PlayDigital’s MegaJackpots Cash Eruption.
The progressive slot lived up to its name, with the online game erupting for a life-changing payout. The player was betting $30 a spin.
I was so excited, I couldn’t believe it,” said the Caesars Rewards member who won the jackpot. “I plan to take care of my family.”
MegaJackpots Cash Eruption delivered $1.13 million in jackpot wins during just four days last September. The first hit was a $603,667 jackpot on a $15 bet on September 18. Less than 100 hours later, a player won $527,710 on a $0.60 bet.

Online Slot Jackpots
While the $1.24 million online slot hit on the Caesars Palace Online Casino platform is certainly noteworthy, the prize pales in comparison to the largest iGaming slot wins in New Jersey history.
In June 2023, DraftKings reported a player hitting an online progressive slot jackpot worth $3.29 million. The Ancient Fortunes: Zeus jackpot was won on just a $0.10 bet.
A little over a year later, BetMGM reported in August 2024 that an online progressive slot jackpot hit for $6.4 million, the largest online win in New Jersey history. The mark stands to this day.
The record slot win occurred on a Fruit Blaster game. The winner remained anonymous.
“BetMGM and one lucky player made iGaming history,” Adam Greenblatt, CEO of BetMGM, said at the time.
In 2025, BetMGM awarded more than $122 million in progressive online slot machine jackpots. Michigan led the way with $42.6 million in iGaming winnings.
iGaming Growth
Online casinos are regulated in only seven states. They are Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and West Virginia. Maine will become the eighth state later this year, pending the outcome of a lawsuit challenging the state’s authorization of tribal iGaming.
2025 marked yet another record-breaking year for the iGaming states. The American Gaming Association reports that, through November, iGaming gross gaming revenue, or the money kept by the online casinos after paying out winnings, totaled $9.7 billion. That marked a 28.3% surge on the same 11 months in 2024.
