Rick Harrison of “Pawn Stars” Gets Hitched at Downtown Chapel

“Pawn Stars” star Rick Harrison (60) got married to Angie Polushkin (42) on Jan. 3, 2026, at downtown’s Little White Wedding Chapel. This is Harrison’s fifth attempt at marital bliss.

We’ve heard exclusively that on Harrison’s wedding night, he was overheard saying to his bride, “I don’t know a whole lot about this stuff. I’m gonna have to call in an expert.”

If you think we wrote this entire story just to share that joke, you are mostly correct, but we stumbled upon another one near to end, so just hang in there.

Harrison, of course, came to prominence when he and his clan, operators of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, were featured on History Channel’s now legendary “reality” series, the aforementioned “Pawn Stars.”

Harrison is famous for his negotiation skills and encyclopedic knowledge of history, none of which is scripted, at all.

Note to our fellow youths: “Encyclopedias” were the Internet, but in book form. People would sell them door-to-door. Those people were anti-rizz, cringeworthy chuds, no cap. “Books” were made of sheets of paper bound together and put on shelves to make people feel smart. “Paper” comes from trees, those things our fellow youths used to climb before parents became pathologically protective and ruined society.

“Pawn Stars” debuted in 2009 and exploded into a History Channel juggernaut, elevating Rick Harrison and his colleagues from Las Vegas pawnbrokers to pop-culture mainstays.

Also on the show were Rick Harrison’s father, Richard “The Old Man” Harrison, who passed away in 2018, Harrison’s son Corey Harrison and Austin “Chumlee” Russell.

Everyone involved has had varying degrees of success in coping with fame and fortune.

The show “ended” in 2024, but presumably “Pawn Stars” will have new episodes in 2027 (according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal), sans Corey Harrison.

Harrison’s quickie wedding was low-key (cheap, just $550, which included an Elvis impersonator as an officiant) and reportedly “intimate.” The reception was held at his Rick’s Rollin’ Smoke BBQ restaurant at Pawn Plaza, right next to the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop.

You can read more about Rick Harrison’s love story at People.

Fun fact: Harrison’s engagement ring, a 6.5-carat pear-shaped ring, came from his pawn shop. Approximate value: $150,000. The over/under on the price Harrison paid a degenerate gambler for the ring is $420.

Fun fact: Pear-shaped diamonds are not shaped like pears. At all.

Seriously, though. Every pawn shop owes a debt of gratitude to Rick Harrison. It’s truly one of the most predatory businesses in the world (on par with payday loans), but “Pawn Stars” made the industry mainstream, socially acceptable and almost fun, deflecting from the ugly reality beneath the playful banter.

And, no, we are not saying this because we brought a $2,600 watch to Gold & Silver for an estimate and were offered $500 for it. For blog research!

We’ve interacted with Rick Harrison on a few occasions, and he seems like an affable, smart, down-to-earth person.

About the “smart” thing, though. When people are married numerous times, we get the feeling they may not fully understand the definition of “marriage.” Not uncommon.

Marriage is a socially and legally recognized commitment between two people to build a shared life, pledged to endure permanently.

Not understanding what “marriage” means is the main reason marriages don’t work.

Rick. Dude. You’re famous. You don’t need to get married to get laid.

First marriage, three years. Second marriage, 25 years. Third marriage, seven years. Fourth marriage, two years. Rick Harrison is, after all, an expert “flipper.”

We kid because we love! “Pawn Stars” is an American institution and we are a fan, despite the fakery involved. For example, the show became so popular, they couldn’t tape it in the pawn shop, so they built a duplicate on the site where production takes place.

Congrats to Rick Harrison and his lovely bride on their nuptials. We are all for adults doing anything that makes them happy, as long as nobody else is harmed.

There’s a popular Yiddish saying we just made up: “Di ershte fir khasenes zaynen far libe, di letste khasene iz tsu gefinen a nyenye.” Translation: “The first four marriages are for love, the last marriage is to find a nurse.”

There’s a pretty good chance this actually becomes a popular Yiddish saying.

Rick Harrison’s new wife, Angie Polushkin, is a registered nurse. That joke would’ve been funnier had we mentioned that earlier in our story. We did say Rick Harrison is 60. Just saying.

We love that Rick Harrison and Angie Polushkin got married in just about the most Las Vegas way possible. Downtown. At the Little White Wedding Chapel. Mercifully quickly. With Elvis. And a reception at a BBQ restaurant.

Mazel tov! Mostly because we can’t begin to pronounce “Hatzlókhe!”
