NADC Burger and Picanha Steak Set for Downtown’s Tony @ Carson
Two restaurants are planned for downtown’s Tony @ Carson building, home to Carson Kitchen.
Picanha Steak Restaurant will replace the closed Carl’s Donuts. NADC Burger will take over the spot previously occupied by the short-lived DDT, a wrestling-themed bar.
There’s more churn at Tony @ Carson than a Land O’Lakes factory.

Picanha Steak Restaurant has two existing locations, one on Rainbow Blvd. in Las Vegas, another in Ontario, California. We’re pretty sure they are also a vendor at Allegiant, but not sure as we are allergic to sportsball.
The owner of Picanha, Luis Fernandez, says on his Web site: “In the year 2014 we arrived to this country with a suitcase full of expectations for our new life, and of course a world full of dreams, but most importantly full of confidence that could prosper against all odds and make it work no matter what.”
This is a good sign, as the sidewalk and street in front of Tony @ Carson have recently been giving Gaza vibes.
Update: Carson Kitchen is one of the few businesses in the history of Las Vegas being hurt by boobs. W in T actual F? https://t.co/lPOuXBjXpi pic.twitter.com/Lur2fXHGLO

Anyway, Picanha Steak Restaurant specializes in the Brazilian-style cut of beef known as picanha (top rump cap with fat-cap intact), a favorite in churrascarias in Brazil.
The existing Las Vegas location offers a menu built around this cut, with plates, sandwiches, tacos and whole picanha portions available. See the menu here.

Here’s where Picanha Steak will be located when it opens at Tony @ Carson.

We’re already worried about the other new restaurant, NADC Burger. NADC moves into the corner spot at Tony @ Carson.
This space used to be Bocho Downtown Sushi. Foot traffic: Pretty much imperceptible.
But that’s not the only reason we’re worried. We’re worried because NADC isn’t very good.
How do we know? NADC (which stands for “Not a Damn Chance”) had a three-month pop-up location at Resorts World. We tried it. We were underwhelmed.
NADC recently closed at Resorts World and Suns Out, Buns Out is back in (for now).

Here’s a perfunctory blurb about NADC from a news release from when the pop-up at Resorts World was announced: “NADC (Not a Damn Chance) Burger is a Wagyu cheeseburger concept born from the friendship between professional skateboarder Neen Williams and award-winning chef Phillip Frankland Lee. What started in 2022 as a post-skate craving quickly turned into a full-blown obsession when the two couldn’t find a burger that hit the mark, so they made their own. Combining Lee’s culinary background with Williams’ passion for food (and his own NADC spice company), the pair created what they call ‘the ultimate backyard burger.’ The menu centers around their signature double cheeseburger made with 100% Wagyu beef, American cheese, secret sauce, grilled onions, pickles, and just the right kick of jalapenos—served with a side of fries for the full experience.”
They aren’t wrong about the fact you could make one of these burgers in your own backyard. How is that a good thing?
The NADC burger we tried was forgettable, especially in a town with so many spectacular burgers.
Will NADC address your Fremont Street munchies? Oh, yes.
Is the over/under for this NADC location nine months? Oh, yes.
Neither of the new restaurants have announced they’re coming to Tony @ Carson, so there are no official opening dates yet.
They may want to wait until the construction shitshow is finished before launching, so Q2 of 2029 (subject to change without notice).
Big thanks to ever-vigilant Twitter follower @Jaybirdvegasnv for the tip about Picanha Steak and NADC Burger.
Small business owners are brave souls possessing immense grit and we applaud their tenacity in the face of daunting challenges.
Let’s hope these new offerings can overcome the odds with their unbeatable meat.
Some jokes just write themselves.
