Megabucks Slot Hits for $11.1 Million at Resorts World
As our fellow youths say, “First!” They also yell “6-7” quite a bit, but we’re mostly focusing on the “first” thing because we broke this story and breaking news is dangerously close to having a life, so there it is.
We were the first to share Megabucks hit today for $11,143,660.87 on Nov. 26, 2025.
Now, we know where: Resorts World. The Las Vegas dream lives.

After we shared Megabucks hit, we asked for a photo of the win (there’s always a photo of a win) and the Internet answered.
Follow-up: Megabucks hit at Resorts World! Why a resort that could use some good publicity wouldn’t shout this from the rooftops, we have no idea. https://t.co/gx7WbLpl8B

Megabucks, of course, is the beloved WAP (wide area progressive) with life-changing jackpots.
Megabucks jackpots are paid by the slot manufacturer (IGT), not the casino.
They aren’t all upside, of course. First, the IRS takes a big bite out of big jackpots. After the government gets its hands on an $11.1 million jackpot, the player ends up with $6.6 million or so (if they take the lump sum, as most winners do).
Second, people who win giant jackpots rarely tip. They have a lot of excuses, but all of them are lame.
Once a Megabucks progressive hits, it resets to $10 million.
You can keep an eye on Megabucks (and other IGT WAPs like Wheel of Fortune) jackpots on the IGT site.
Keep playing, keep dreaming, keep tipping.
