Las Vegas Yacht Club to Close at TI, Ace Dragon Wok to Open
Las Vegas Yacht Club seafood restaurant is set to close at TI on June 29, 2025. We told you this would happen back in November, but you don’t listen.
The restaurant opened in Nov. 2023, replacing Seafood Shack.
Apparently, TI has abandoned ship on having a seafood restaurant in this space. A new restaurant, Ace Dragon Wok, will be opening in the space on Sep. 1, 2025. We can only assume it won’t be Italian.

The death knell for Yacht Club was rung when TI listed the space as being for lease back in late 2024.
Yacht Club employees were informed of the closure on May 30, 2025.
The location of the space isn’t ideal.

Senor Frog’s also closed at TI on Dec. 31, 2024.
TI, referred to by old-timers as Treasure Island, is owned by wild man, business mogul and noted penny-pincher, Phil Ruffin.
Did everyone but us know TI and Circus Circus owner Phil Ruffin also owns the largest hand truck manufacturing company in the world?

Ruffin also owns Circus Circus, which is for sale at an asking price that makes its sale virtually impossible, but it can’t hurt to ask.
The underrated bastards at What Now (they’re like Eater Vegas, back when it was good) scooped us on the Ace Dragon Wok part of the story, but also said it will “join restaurants like The Coffee Shop, Las Vegas Yacht Club, Phil’s Steakhouse, Gilley’s BBQ and the resort’s Golden Circle Sportsbook & Bar,” which is very awkward.
Here’s more from a news release by Ace Dragon Wok, from WAA Hospitality: “Las Vegas’ Treasure Island is raising the bar in dining with the upcoming launch of Ace Dragon Wok, a vibrant new Asian restaurant poised to redefine the Strip’s culinary landscape. This highly anticipated eatery promises to deliver authentic, high-heat wok-cooked dishes that capture the bold flavors and dynamic techniques central to Asian cuisine. By combining traditional cooking methods with modern twists, Ace Dragon Wok aims to offer both locals and visitors an unforgettable dining experience that stands out amid the city’s diverse and ever-evolving food scene. Its strategic location and innovative menu are set to attract a wide range of guests seeking fresh, flavorful alternatives on the iconic Las Vegas Strip.”
Sportsbooks are currently taking bets on whether Ace Dragon Wok will, in fact, “redefine the Strip’s culinary landscape.”

But wait, there’s more: “Though the complete menu is yet to be announced, it’s expected to highlight a broad spectrum of Asian flavors, possibly spanning traditional recipes and creative reinterpretations designed to delight adventurous food lovers. From sizzling stir-fries to delicate noodle dishes and shareable small plates, the restaurant is set to offer a dynamic dining experience.”
It’s entirely “possible” Ace Dragon Wok put this announcement out before fully having its shit together.
We hope the cooks and servers at Las Vegas Yacht Club will find other, more lucrative, gigs soon.
In the words of somebody on the Internet: “The two worst feelings in the world are not having a job and having a job.”
Update (7/1/25): TI confirmed Ace Dragon Wok will open on September 1, 2025. From the news release: “The concept comes from celebrated entrepreneur Wayne Wang, CEO & President of ACE Dragon Wok, and leading the helm as Director of Culinary will be Las Vegas restaurant veteran Chef AJ Ang.”
