Las Vegas Loses Much-Loved Podcaster and Author, Mark Wojtowicz

Our dear friend and prolific podcaster Mark Wojtowicz passed away on July 30, 2025 in Las Vegas, the town he loved, reported on in hundreds of podcast episodes and chronicled in his book, “Vegas.” He was 49.

Wojtowicz (pronounced “wuh-TOH-witz”) was host of the beloved “360 Vegas Podcast,” which launched in 2010, and a Las Vegas history buff.

He took his own life after a long struggle with mental illness.

Mark would want us to write a joke, but we’ve got nothing.

The best way to get to know Mark Wojtowicz is to listen to his podcast.

He served as host of the popular show which also featured his wife, Keren Wojtowicz and Tony Snyder, a lawyer by profession.

Wojtowicz produced more than 500 episodes (we co-hosted a number of them), plus another 200 special installments focusing on Las Vegas history.

He was interviewed on other shows, like Talk About Las Vegas, Strip Talking and, most recently, The Bettor Life.

The “Bettor Life” episode is especially poignant given Wojtowicz spoke frankly about his mental health challenges, and specifically talked about his Bipolar II diagnosis, bouts of depression and frequent suicidal ideation (thinking about, considering or planning suicide).

Wojtowicz spoke often of the fact his passion for Las Vegas, and music, provided relief from some of his symptoms.

The news of his passing was shared on social media by his wife, Keren.

There has been an outpouring of love and condolences.

Mark Wojtowicz was not just an important part of the Las Vegas conversation, he was brave and an inspiration to others suffering with mental illness, despite the fact he could not overcome the grips of his own internal struggle.

His honesty, creativity and passion for Las Vegas left a lasting mark, even as he carried a burden difficult to understand if you haven’t experienced it or been involved with someone dealing with it.

Wojtowicz not only built a rich archive of Las Vegas history, he also built a community of like-minded Las Vegas fanatics.

Each year, he would host a gathering, “360 Vegas Vacation,” where podcast fans from across the country would get together to socialize and experience Sin City.

The most recent “360 Vegas Vacation” was held in June 2025.

Here’s more video from another “360 Vegas Vacation.”

As mentioned, in early 2025, Wojtowicz published a book telling the story of how Las Vegas became the magical place it is.

Wojtowicz had a second book in the works. We would love to see it completed and published, a fitting final chapter of our friend’s enduring legacy.

The passing of Mark Wojtowicz came as a swift kick to the everything. We’re still in shock and unable to process what’s happened.

He was in our ears virtually every week for years.

Brooding Mark was cool, but we loved this guy, too, despite the earrings. If you thought we’d stop giving him shit just because he’s gone, you do not know this blog.

There’s a nagging feeling we could have, and should have, done more for our friend. Said or done something that might have helped avoid his decision to end his life, the ultimate act of self-determination. Maybe we could’ve made him want to stay.

He gave so much joy to others, yet it eluded him.

We send our most sincere condolences to his wife, his family and friends, along with all his fans.

Las Vegas is a little dimmer following this heartbreaking loss, but we’d like to think our pal has gone to that big Neon Museum in the sky, with Korn in his earbuds, Bernese Mountain Dogs at his feet and that unmistakable laugh echoing in the ears of the angels for an eternity.

Update (8/11/25): This.
