Flamingo’s Go Pool Reopens Following $20 Million Overhaul

The long-awaited reopening of Flamingo’s Go Pool has arrived. The pool suffered a couple of delays, but from what we can see, it was worth the wait.

The Go Pool got a $20 million ground-up rebuild and it shows. The complex boasts five pools and swim-up bar, along with DJs seven days a week (despite our best efforts).

The best part: The Go Pool is for those 21 and older. Yes, there’s a family-friendly pool nearby, but don’t spoil it.

Pool photos are fine, but gratuitous A.I. swimsuit models for the win.

The Go Pool complex spans 1.5 acres.

Here’s a bird’s eye view just moments before the Go Pool reopened.

Here are details about the five pools (the previous pool had a mere three) lifted from the news release.

1. Main Pool. The standout feature of the main pool is the swim-up bar. Covered by a large canopy, it features four TVs. This pool also offers a shallow wet deck with in-water daybeds and couches. The main pool is directly below the DJ booth, which sits atop the grotto and waterfall.

2. Grotto Pool. A 50-foot-wide “rain curtain” waterfall above the grotto pool cascades into the main pool. Sitting at the waterfall’s crest, high-energy DJs keep the party going seven days a week. In the grotto, guests can lounge on in-water benches inside the pool, which is fully shaded and behind the waterfall.

3. Circular VIP Pool. Tucked away from the main pool, the circular pool offers an oasis for VIPs looking for a chill, relaxed vibe. Cabanas and daybeds surround the 40-foot round infinity pool. This secluded area also features a 15-foot waterfall, which provides a beautiful backdrop for a photo moment.

4. Rectangular VIP Pool. Visitors can enjoy the ultimate VIP party experience at the rectangular pool with cabanas, daybeds and unobstructed views of the DJ booth. This 60-foot-long pool also includes a custom water feature and shallow wet deck area.

5. Free-form VIP Pool. Featuring three separate shallow wet deck areas, the free-form pool offers cabanas and in-water daybeds for guests who want to be close to the action in the main pool while enjoying a VIP experience.

This ain’t your grandpa’s hotel pool. Not to imply your grandpa used copula contractions, of course.

A key aspect to all these enhancements: Monetization.

The old pool was designed before casinos really even knew what that was. The pool was also leaking a lot, which was one of the main reasons for the renovation, but mostly the monetization thing.

The Go Pool isn’t just about cabanas, however, complimentary poolside lounge chairs around the main pool are also available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Both hotel and non-hotel guests 21 and older can enjoy complimentary general admission to the Go Pool on a first-come, first-served basis, according to Flamingo.

Your melanoma awaits! The good kind, though!

Food and drinks are important parts of any pool experience, obviously.

As for the food: “Go Pool’s full kitchen offers delicious poolside bites, such as breakfast items, sharable dishes, salads, sandwiches and bowls. Menu highlights include the Street Taco Trio, featuring birria beef or chicken tinga street tacos with diced onions, cilantro, sour cream, charred tomato and chipotle salsa. Visitors can also enjoy the Southwest Bowl, made with steamed rice, black beans, roasted sweetcorn, avocado and cotija cheese. Another tasty option is the Day Club Sandwich with toasted multigrain bread, smoked turkey, bacon, avocado, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and French fries. The party platters are perfect for groups lounging around the cabanas and daybeds.”

Birria Tinga would make a decent porn name.

The drinks are pool party-friendly, with the requisite garnishes and fruits and vegetables and umbrellas and such.

Hello, if there’s fruit, they’re health drinks!

The revamped Go Pool is just one of the resort’s new offerings, which include the recent openings of Gordon Ramsay Burger, Pinky’s from Lisa Vanderpump and Havana 1957 restaurant.

While we haven’t been to the Go Pool yet, we’re definitely stopping by to check it out despite not being a pool person. We didn’t see any mention of outdoor gambling as the pool had in the past, but fingers crossed.
