Flamingo Names Luke Combs’ Category 10 to Replace Margaritaville

Way back in May 2024, we shared Flamingo’s shuttered Margaritaville would be replaced by a country-themed venue.

That’s been confirmed by the official announcement Category 10 will open at Flamingo in the fall of 2026.

Category 10 comes from Luke Combs, whoever that might be. Let’s learn more, shan’t we?

A poll by CBS News found that 21% of Americans said country music was their favorite genre. A good number of Americans also like canned spray cheese. ‘Nuff said.

Thanks to the Internet, we have become a noted Luke Combs expert since we wrote that last paragraph.

Country superstar Luke Combs is a multi-platinum, award-winning artist from Asheville, North Carolina. He was recently named the most RIAA-certified country artist in history, surpassing Garth Brooks.

A Grand Ole Opry member and North Carolina Music Hall of Fame inductee, Combs holds the record for the most consecutive number-one hits to start a career (19) and has spent 53 weeks atop Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.

Known for his powerhouse voice and authenticity, Combs has earned 11 CMA Awards, four ACM Awards, and six Billboard Music Awards.

Category 10 was inspired by Combs’ debut single, “Hurricane.”

Yes, there are only five hurricane categories on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. Please keep in mind this is country music, not atmospheric science.

It’s actually incredible Combs has earned so many accolades given the fact there are only about four country songs. Country music is like Mexican food. Four ingredients, different configurations. Just facts.

Anyway, about Category 10.

First, We haven’t congratulated ourself enough for this scoop yet.

Second, Category 10 will be a three-story, 34,000-square-foot venue with multiple experiences “influenced by Combs’ music and passions.”

1) Hurricane Hall

“Found on the first floor, the main dining hall will feature three bars as well as a central stage and dance floor, paired with an immersive light and sound experience. Outfitted with state-of-the-art video, acoustics and lighting, Hurricane Hall delivers a concert-quality atmosphere with curated artist line-ups performing daily. The hall will host the brand’s famous free line dancing lessons.”

While we are not a line-dance person, people (women) love it and, honestly, if we had to hear “Cha-Cha Slide” one more time, we would be forced to step into oncoming traffic.

2) The Beautiful Crazy Women’s Lounge

“The lounge will be located directly inside of the women’s restroom on the first floor. A champagne bar, soft seating, makeup counters and Hollywood vanity mirrors create the perfect setting for an iconic Vegas night out selfie.”

As a noted feminist, we must point out “Beautiful Crazy Women” is sexist. Unlike our comment about line dancing being a thing women like.

3) The Still

“Tucked away on the second floor, The Still draws inspiration from Luke’s songwriting, creating an intimate and elevated setting. Guests can enjoy an extensive selection of bourbons, hand-selected by Luke, while taking in the main stage below. The Still will also have adjacent outdoor patio space with scenic views of the cityscape. Thoughtfully designed for Combs’ Bootleggers Fan Club, bourbon connoisseurs and music lovers, The Still offers a one-of-a-kind experience.”

By “one-of-a-kind,” of course, they mean “if you don’t know Ole Red exists.”

4) The Eye Rooftop

“The third level covered rooftop features a DJ booth, dance floor and bar with incredible views of the famed Las Vegas Strip.”

That’s right, there will be four experiences at Category 10, the same number of original country songs, ever, the number of subjects in those four country songs (see below), as well as the number of ingredients in Mexican food.

This is not our first rodeo.

Truck, check. Beer, check. Dog, check. ‘Merica, check.

Category 10 comes from Opry Entertainment Group, the folks behind the aforementioned Ole Red, which has been printing money at Horseshoe since it opened on January 15, 2024.

The original Category 10 is in Nashville.

The Margaritaville location is prime real estate on the Las Vegas Strip.

Can The Strip accommodate another country-themed venue?

There are those who think any country is too much, but those people are mostly us and we tend to hate everything.

The success of Ole Red is undeniable, and a harbinger of things to come for Category 10, as long as Las Vegas visitation rebounds.

Caesars Entertainment, owner of Flamingo, has had great success with celebrity-branded venues. If something works, goes the business philosophy, just make more. (Ole Red isn’t technically part of Horseshoe, it’s in the Grand Bazaar Shops, but just play along.)

How far has this celebrity partnership concept gone? Caesars is rebranding Cromwell to Vanderpump Hotel in early 2026.

Caesars Entertainment’s celebrity partners include Gordon Ramsay, Guy Fieri, Bobby Flay, Rick Bayless, Lisa Vanderpump, Giada De Laurentiis and Nobu Matsuhisa (BFF of Robert De Niro).

We’re just happy the mystery about which country artist would be associated with the Margaritaville space has been resolved.

Whether country is our cup of tea or not, there’s something for everyone in Las Vegas, and we love us some new and shiny, even if shit-kickers are involved.
