Cromwell Rooms Go Offline for Vanderpump Hotel Rebrand
The 188 rooms at Cromwell are no longer bookable, primarily because it’s unclear if Cromwell still exists.
The boutique hotel-casino is renovating its rooms to become The Vanderpump Hotel, so while that’s happening, you can’t stay there. Until May 29, anyway. Do not take this personally. You can still gamble there, eat and drink there. You can have sex there, if by some miracle you find somebody willing to do that. But you can’t stay there, for now.
Once refreshed, Vanderpump’s rooms will take on a distinctly feminine air. Do you even know who Lisa Vanderpump is? We don’t really know, either, but that’s not the point. You need to do a better job of staying in touch with pop culture.

Lisa Vanderpump is a whole thing, from what we can tell.
Vanderpump is famous for starring on the reality TV show “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and for her “glamorous, outspoken persona.” She’s also known for building a successful restaurant empire and headlining her own spinoff, “Vanderpump Rules,” which follows the staff at her venues.
Why is Caesars Entertainment partnering with her to rebrand the perfectly acceptable Cromwell? Why did they turn a surface parking lot at Caesars Palace into the Omnia dayclub? Why did they dump Margaritaville at Flamingo for Category 10 from Luke Combs? Why did they close Carlos’n Charlie’s at Flamingo to put in slot machines? Why did they remove the walkway and park outside the former Bally’s (now Horseshoe) to build the monstrosity that is the Grand Bazaar Shops? Why did they close the Horseshoe sportsbook to put in a video arcade? Why did they make a Bally’s tower into a Paris tower? (Yes, a video arcade makes more than a sportsbook!)
The answer: Incremental margin optimization. Translation: Everything can do better.
Lisa Vanderpump’s lounges at Paris, Caesars Palace and Flamingo are printing money. The hope is Vanderpump Hotel will do the same.
Here’s the official site where you can get some flavor of what they’re going for.
You don’t have to know or like Lisa Vanderpump or her “brand” to like a refreshed hotel-casino.
Here’s another look at the hotel’s standard room.

Here’s what ChatGPT said about Vanderpump Hotel’s room: “The room at The Vanderpump Hotel leans hard into Lisa Vanderpump’s signature ‘soft glam’ aesthetic—muted blush and moss tones, mirrored furniture, layered textures and a toile-style mural that gives it a boutique, almost dressing-room vibe rather than a traditional Vegas suite. It’s cohesive and intentionally curated, with reflective surfaces and decorative lighting doing a lot of work to elevate a fairly standard footprint, but it can also feel a bit over-styled, like a showroom where every surface is trying to be noticed. The result is distinctive and very on-brand—polished, feminine, and Instagram-ready—though it trades some of the bold, escapist energy people expect in Las Vegas for a more restrained, lifestyle-driven look.”
Side note: ChatGPT has ruined em dashes for everyone.
We have no idea how ChatGPT “sees” things, but we can’t disagree with any of its conclusions.
From the official news release, “The Cromwell’s transformation into The Vanderpump Hotel is underway. Anchored in the heart of The Strip at Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, the boutique resort is being reimagined into a first‑of‑its‑kind destination. The 188 guest rooms and suites, designed by Lisa Vanderpump and her business partner Nick Alain, feature a beautiful mix of moss-green hues and touches of dusty lilac, creating a soothing palette with soft textures that encourage relaxation. Mixed metals, from warm gold accents to cool silver detailing, bring depth and sexy elegance to the space, while reflective furnishings help the rooms feel open, airy and expansive. Vanderpump will also hand-select room amenities for guests.”

We checked out the initial dates for Vanderpump Hotel, and rooms run in the $500 range at reopening, but settle into the more typical rates you’d expect from a casino in a prime location on the Las Vegas Strip.

We did an in-depth analysis of room rates at Cromwell versus Vanderpump to determine 1) if the prices have been elevated by the rebrand, and 2) to see if you’re gullible enough to think we’d actually expend effort doing that.
The Cromwell to Vanderpump rebrand is sort of a grand experiment. It probably won’t do worse, and could do better, and it’s unclear if Caesars Entertainment really cares all that much either way. The company is in talks for a sale. Once completed, the new owner (possibly Tilman Fertitta) is likely to sell off parts of company, Vanderpump Hotel could be one of those parts.
Giada fans need not fret for the moment; her restaurant is sticking around and is open during the room renovation.
In addition to the room renovation, Vanderpump Hotel will get a pool rebrand, too. The resort’s pool, formerly Drai’s nightclub/dayclub, will be Soleia.
The resort will also get a bespoke cocktail lounge created exclusively for The Vanderpump Hotel.
“Bespoke” comes from tailoring. It means personalized or made-to-order, not mass-produced. The word comes from the Old English word, “besprecan,” meaning “we can charge a lot more if we say it’s bespoke.”
We can’t wait to see the rebirthed Vanderpump Hotel, as long as we don’t have to watch “The Real Housewives of Anywhere, Ever.”
