About Me

I am 64 years-old female and moving quickly towards retirement. I am an Aunt to 2 young men and 2 young women, and a great Aunt to their young children who I love very much! I am a sister. I am a friend. I have been a pet owner most of my life with cats, dogs, ducks, fish, and you name it. I grew up in the rural outskirts of Philadelphia in a very modern home surrounded by PA Dutch farmland, of which a part was granted to my ancestors who were invited by William Penn to farm the land because the country needed their skilled resources (sadly not the way it works today).

I lived in the city for a larger part of my career. Philadelphia is full of culture: history (of course), a lot of diversity, the arts of all genres (the Philadelphia Art Museum and neighboring museums like the Barnes are a must see), music, dance, food, arts and crafts. The food markets are from all over the world. Lots of Universities! It is a very GREEN city with acres and acres of very old wooded parks surrounding the city, which I believe were once Native American territories.

I worked as a graphic design production artist for 30 years, covering materials ranging from consumer advertisements, direct-mail marketing for various mutual fund companies, to academic books to small art gallery promotional materials for the gallery showings. While working for an academic book-publishing company, I was "let go" of my job due to my company choosing to downsize and "outsource" my work to a lower-waged company in another country. Since then I have been self-employed in the occupation of "helping people who need help", which is very rewarding work from a moral and social standpoint.

If you ever want to learn more about the rich qualities of the beautiful city, Philadelphia, ask away! A must to visit to learn and experience the lives and meaning of our Founding Fathers of the USA, and a great place to live and grow.

I play poker to relax, to be challenged, and to WIN!
