<\/p>\nIt might feel too soon, but people often lock in their New Year’s Eve plans months in advance, so we’re sharing what’s up at Fremont Street Experience. Feel free to stop yer whining.\u00a0Fremont Street Experience (FSE) has announced its entertainment lineup for New Year’s Eve 2026, featuring Hoobastank, Alien Ant Farm, Petey Pablo, Bubba Sparxxx and several other acts whose names will inspire varying degrees of cheering or shrugging, just like every year.<\/p>\n
The lineup of acts is the headline, but a giant bolded subhead is the price of tickets. Tickets for this year’s downtown Las Vegas celebration start at just $35, down from $60 last year. That’s a 42% reduction, or what our fellow youths refer to as “the boom.”<\/p>\n
FSE’s official theme for NYE is “All In. All Night.” We are not making this up.<\/p>\n

If you think FSE gets to use that theme without getting the A.I. billboard treatment, you don’t know this blog at all.<\/p>\n
First, the entertainment.<\/p>\n
The party will feature 10 acts across four stages. Here’s the schedule.<\/p>\n
3rd Street Stage (by The D and Four Queens)<\/strong> 1st Street Stage (by Binion’s and Circa)<\/strong> Main Street Stage (by Plaza)<\/strong> Casino Center Stage (the intersection of Golden Nugget, Four Queens, Binion’s and Fremont)<\/strong> When we worked at FSE, we could never have said the Main Street Stage is near Plaza. That’s because Plaza isn’t a member of the Fremont Street Experience. Now, we DGAF. Shout-out to El Cortez and Downtown Grand, too! We don’t live by society’s rules.<\/p>\n It’s an annual tradition with the NYE announcement to kvetch about the bands.<\/p>\n Which got us to thinking about whether there might be a way to tell, objectively, how well-known these bands are, since we sort of don’t recognize any of them except for possibly Hoobastank because that’s such an awkward name.<\/p>\n Thankfully, we live in an age when A.I. can do anything! We asked ChatGPT to rank the performers, not against one another, but against the entire universe of musical fame. We established a scale of 1-10, with 1 representing a virtually unknown garage band and 10 representing legendary acts like The Beatles or Rolling Stones.<\/p>\n We asked ChatGPT to consider record sales, chart success, critical reviews, public sentiment, name recognition and enduring cultural relevance. The resulting ratings are subjective, but provide a pretty good idea of where these performers fall in the musical pecking order.<\/p>\n Here are the acts, ranked from least famous to most famous.<\/p>\n Dr Rock<\/strong>, 1.5\/10: This is an established Las Vegas cover band with a following among Fremont Street visitors, but little national recognition or commercial recording success.<\/p>\n Alter Ego<\/strong>, 1.5\/10: Popular local cover band familiar to downtown entertainment fans, but virtually unknown outside the Las Vegas market. Lead singer needs a record deal.<\/p>\n Eric Forbes<\/strong>, 2\/10: He’s a veteran Las Vegas nightclub DJ with decades of experience and local recognition, but limited national visibility.<\/p>\n Count’s 77<\/strong>, 3\/10: This Las Vegas hard-rock band is fronted by Danny Koker of TV’s “Counting Cars,” with more recognition from its frontman’s TV popularity than from hit records.<\/p>\n Anabel Englund<\/strong>, 4.5\/10: She’s an accomplished EDM vocalist with seven No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Dance\/Mix Show Airplay chart, although her name is relatively unfamiliar to mainstream audiences, which is a condescending way of saying, “The Vital Vegas Blog.”<\/p>\n Wuki, 5\/10<\/strong>: He’s a Grammy-nominated DJ and producer with a solid following in contemporary dance music, but again, limited mainstream name recognition.<\/p>\n Bubba Sparxxx<\/strong>, 5.5\/10: This nationally successful Southern rapper is best known for early-2000s hits “Ugly” and “Ms. New Booty.” “Ms. New Booty” reached #7 on the Billboard Hot 100.<\/p>\n
