But not at Wynn. At MGM Grand.<\/p>\n<p>Rumors have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wynn-changes-course-jardin-closes-permanently-after-a-decade-at-encore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">long swirled<\/a> Four Sixes would move into the Jardin space at Wynn. Now, not so much. Service was incredible, and we had our first cocktail in a couple of years, the Rodeo Queen from Wynn\u2019s mixology queen Mariena Mercer Boarini. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/rAhikVexwk\">pic.twitter.com\/rAhikVexwk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Vital Vegas (@VitalVegas) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/VitalVegas\/status\/1839181154618061148?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 26, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Four Sixes Steakhouse is a partnership with Taylor Sheridan, the writer, director and producer behind hits like &#8220;Yellowstone,&#8221; &#8220;1883,&#8221; &#8220;1923&#8221; and &#8220;Landman.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant&#8217;s name comes from Sheridan&#8217;s Four Sixes Ranch in Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Four Sixes Steakhouse&#8217;s first Las Vegas incarnation opened Sept. 16, 2024, as a pop-up inside Tableau at Wynn Las Vegas. Tableau was mostly a breakfast and brunch restaurant, so Four Sixes took over the space for dinner.<\/p>\n<p>The steakhouse was originally promoted as a limited-time engagement, but lasted considerably longer than anyone expected, ultimately closing in January 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Four Sixes offered elevated Texas cuisine, including prime steaks sourced from the ranch, tableside beef tartare and elaborate cocktails. The menu also included a 40-ounce porterhouse for $250, a Texas Twinkie (a chile stuffed with smoked wagyu brisket and cheese, wrapped in bacon, see below) and a 48-ounce wagyu tomahawk priced at a modest $899.99.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_48791\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-48791\" style=\"width: 845px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-48791 size-post-thumbnail-crop-845xAUTO\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/texas_twinkie-845x563.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"845\" height=\"563\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/texas_twinkie-845x563.jpg 845w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/texas_twinkie-924x615.jpg 924w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/texas_twinkie-423x282.jpg 423w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/texas_twinkie-306x204.jpg 306w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/texas_twinkie-190x126.jpg 190w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/texas_twinkie.jpg 1400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 845px) 100vw, 845px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-48791\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">We are not one to yuck on the yums of others, but what the hell is wrong with people?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Now, with Four Sixes officially headed to MGM Grand, the question is obvious: What happened at Wynn?<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve heard several explanations, none officially confirmed by either Wynn or the Four Sixes team, but when has that ever stopped us from spilling the tea?<\/p>\n<p>One source familiar with the situation characterized the Four Sixes switch to MGM Grand as &#8220;more fizzle than sizzle.&#8221; Meaning, less drama than we&#8217;d like, but still pretty juicy.<\/p>\n<p>Our source says the concept simply &#8220;wasn&#8217;t a good fit&#8221; for Wynn. Wynn has invested heavily in distinctive culinary experiences, including Delilah, SW Steakhouse, Pisces Bar &amp; Seafare and the recently opened Sartiano&#8217;s Italian Steakhouse.<\/p>\n<p>As our source put it, &#8220;Las Vegas is very over-indexed on steak.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>We honestly love how downright snooty Wynn can get. Yawn.<\/p>\n<p>MGM Resorts appears delighted to have Four Sixes onboard.<\/p>\n<p>From the <a href=\"https:\/\/investors.mgmresorts.com\/2026-10-22-MGM-Grand-Hotel-Casino-to-Open-Taylor-Sheridans-Four-Sixes-Ranch-Steakhouse-in-Early-2027\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official news release<\/a>: &#8220;Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse will bring the uncompromising excellence, rugged spirit and peerless heritage of one of America&#8217;s most celebrated ranches directly to the Las Vegas resort.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re pretty sure some PR intern wrote that as a placeholder and forgot to update it with English before the news release was distributed.<\/p>\n<p>The permanent restaurant will have a new menu featuring prime-grade beef, cuts sourced directly from Four Sixes Ranch, Texas-inspired recipes and a selection of cocktails, wines and rare spirits.<\/p>\n<p>There will also be a substantial entertainment component, including immersive digital walls featuring custom footage from Sheridan.<\/p>\n<p>The dining room is being designed by Charisse Cardenas, a production designer whose credits include &#8220;Landman,&#8221; &#8220;Lioness,&#8221; &#8220;Madison&#8221; and &#8220;American Sniper.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>MGM Grand hasn&#8217;t announced an exact opening date or full menu.
