Bojangles officially opened at Linq Promenade on Oct. 7, 2026, bringing its Southern-style comfort food to the space formerly occupied by AmeriCAN.<\/p>\n
AmeriCAN Beer & Cocktails closed Sept. 28, 2025, after a decade at Linq. AmeriCAN is now at TI, which many refer to as Treasure Island because they have bigotry against initialisms.<\/p>\n
This is the first Bojangles in the country with a full-service bar, if you’re into that kind of thing.<\/p>\nThat’s the name and they’re sticking with it.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
We had our first taste of Bojangles at a media event a couple of days prior to the official opening, and yes, we slipped that in to make us feel special and important.<\/p>\nBring a cushion if you plan to hang out.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Bojangles has received a surprising amount of attention for a chicken tender and biscuit place that already has six locations (seven if you include the one at Linq) in Las Vegas. There’s another Bojangles at Harmon Corner next to Planet Hollywood, which has a Chick-fil-A, all due respect.<\/p>\n
Anyway, the new Bojangles has a stage for live music in spite of our best efforts.<\/p>\nLive music is the opiate of the masses, and not necessarily in a good way.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
The Bojangles folks are all very nice and they’re very excited about the new location.<\/p>\n
There are some awkward elements of Bojangles culture, including insisting upon using the phrase “Feeling Clucky?” and “It’s Bo Time!” far too often. We can overlook doofy corporate catchphrases if the food’s good, and it’s pretty good.<\/p>\n
The menu at Linq Promenade includes chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, breakfast biscuits, Cajun fries, Bojangles Dirty Rice, mac and cheese and Bo-Berry milkshakes.<\/p>\nAll the major food groups are represented.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
We had our first Bojangles chicken tenders and they’re excellent, although they were spicy, which came as a surprise. Not super spicy, but a definite 1 on a spicy scale of 1-5. We are not a spice person, but the company’s corporate chef assured us the Bo Bites are less spicy, so we’ll try those next time. He said they originally made Bo Bites for kids, but that they’re popular with adults as well.<\/p>\nThe tenders at Bojangles are some of the best in Vegas, even with the unexpected kick. Binion’s, Chick-fil-A, Raising Cane’s, Delilah’s, Huey Magoo’s are all in the running.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
They have a metric ass-ton of sauces.<\/p>\nThe honey mustard is far and away the most popular sauce at Bojangles. The Internet says it’s Bo Sauce. The Internet is wrong.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Other menu stand-outs are the highly-touted scratch-made biscuits (there’s a window to watch them being made, see below) and Bojangles Dirty Rice, which is a throwback to the chicken-and-rice our mom used to make with chicken, rice, soup mix and cream of mushroom soup. Comfort food par excellence.<\/p>\nFun fact: On a typical Las Vegas day, this spot is hotter than the ovens used to bake the biscuits at Bojangles.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
One thing you won’t find at the Linq’s Bojangles is bone-in fried chicken. None of the Vegas locations serves it. This seems to be a very controversial topic.<\/p>\n
To which we diplomatically reply, “Why would you want a bone in your chicken? WTF is wrong with you?”<\/p>\nA pretty appealing price point for The Strip.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
We don’t do breakfast, but Bojangles leans into it. The restaurant opens at 5:00 a.m. or something, or about the time we’re winding down to hit the sack.<\/p>\nWeirdos.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Here’s the third panel of the menu for posterity.<\/p>\nYou can save about $14 if you get bottled water at Bojangles rather than the minibar in your room.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
The new Bojangles offers specialty cocktails, of course. It’s The Strip, it’s the law.<\/p>\n
Bojangles opened its first Southern Nevada restaurant in January 2025. The chain has expanded aggressively since then. The expansion is being driven by Las Vegas-based LV Petroleum, which has an agreement to develop 20 Bojangles restaurants in the Las Vegas Valley.<\/p>\nWe’re going on the record that the biscuits are fleek, despite not having heard that term in six years. (We know it’s “on fleek,” you must be new here.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
As for Bojangles itself, the chain dates back to 1977, when Jack Fulk and Richard Thomas founded the chain in Charlotte, North Carolina. The name was inspired by the song “Mr. Bojangles,” written by Jerry Jeff Walker. The song was inspired by a New Orleans street performer who used a nickname associated with legendary tap dancer Bill “Bojangles” Robinson.<\/p>\n
All this mansplaining has made us thirsty for some Bojangles lemonade.<\/p>\n
Bojangles has some tough competition at Linq Promenade, including In-N-Out Burger and Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips just a few feet away.<\/p>\nWe were going to tell them about the whole Mantecore thing, but the crew at Bojangles was very excited about opening, so we decided to save it for another time.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Is Bojangles worth the hype? Probably not, but there’s something called the “drunchies” that changes the rules in Las Vegas. The drunker one gets, the better chicken tenders and biscuits sound.<\/p>\n
The rent isn’t cheap at Linq, but there’s quite a bit of foot traffic, so Bojangles should fare well.<\/p>\n
We shared a bit of gossip we heard at the Bojangles media event: the company is in talks with Neonopolis for the Heart Attack Grill space at Neonopolis. It’s not a done deal yet, and Neonopolis is known for demanding unrealistic rents, but it’s one to watch.<\/p>\n
