A casino you’re probably never going to visit, Club Fortune, officially opened on July 22, 2026. Technically, reopened. It was previously Poker Palace, which you probably also never went to.<\/p>\n

Club Fortune doesn’t have table games, so we aren’t sure it even qualifies as a casino, per se. Casino Royale and Golden Gate are casinos without table games, so we’ll let this one slide.<\/p>\n

Club Fortune<\/a> is in North Las Vegas and is a long-ass drive, no matter where your journey starts. We made the trip, so we’re damned well going to share some photos and video.<\/p>\n

We are pleased to report that we had a perfectly lovely time during our visit to Club Fortune, and at no point were we stabbed, which was a relief.<\/p>\n

We kid! North Las Vegas gets a bad rap sometimes. It has a reputation for being rougher than the Las Vegas Valley overall, but data doesn’t really support that perception. They have an auto theft problem, but welcome to America.<\/p>\n

On the night we visited, IDs were being checked by security at the casino’s main entrance.<\/p>\n

Club Fortune North is located at 2757 Las Vegas Boulevard North, near North Las Vegas Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue.<\/p>\n

It’s about a mile from the Ojos Locos Sports Cantina y Casino, previously Luck Club, previously Speedway.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Truckee Gaming acquired the 4.8-acre Poker Palace site for $20 million in October 2025. Poker Palace opened in 1974.<\/p>\n

Truckee Gaming CEO Ferenc Szony described Poker Palace as looking like “if Circus Circus and Excalibur had a baby.” North Las Vegas is pretty good at throwing shade.<\/p>\n

Anyway, Club Fortune has about 450 slot machines, one food outlet, a Boomer’s Sportsbook and an impressively long bar.<\/p>\n

It’s worth noting that the Longbar at The D seats 32-34 people. And it has “long” right in its name! Club Fortune should definitely talk this up more.<\/p>\n

Club Fortune has a food court consisting of literally one concept, Baskets.<\/p>\n

Whatever you think Baskets might be, it’s best to adjust your expectations. You hear a lot about “elevated bar food,” well, Baskets is unelevated bar food. For marketing purposes, we’ll use “basic, humble, unpretentious and no-frills.”<\/p>\n

It’s petite but handles the typical case of drunchies just fine.<\/p>\n

Club Fortune North uses the same players club model as its sister casino, Club Fortune in Henderson. Which we didn’t know was a thing until this very sentence. We probably should’ve avoided using “Club Fortune” interchangeably with “Club Fortune North,” but it doesn’t matter because, as we’ve already established, you aren’t going there.<\/p>\n

Club Fortune’s promotional playbook includes daily kiosk games, free slot play, point multipliers, drawings, comp multipliers and food-for-play offers. The casino has previously run promotions such as Swipe ‘N Win, bonus cash drawings, VIP days and “Eat and Play” offers tied to point accumulation. Y’know, locals stuff.<\/p>\n

All of Truckee Gaming\u2019s casinos are in Nevada: Gold Ranch in Verdi and Dayton; Pioneer Crossing in Dayton, Fernley and Yerington; Club Fortune in Henderson and North Las Vegas; Rail City in Sparks; Carson Plains in Dayton; Silverado in Fernley; and Silver Strike in Silver Springs. Club Fortune is offering some sweet promotions in honor of its reopening, including no ATM fees and a deal where they’ll “refund” your losses up to $100. It’s returned to players in the form of free play, but that’s still a fine gift to welcome gamblers back after an extended closure for the renovation.<\/p>\n

Truckee initially expected a straightforward renovation, but the project expanded when workers encountered decades of outdated infrastructure, delaying the opening for months.<\/p>\n

The place looks great, though, and has that new casino smell.<\/p>\n
