Ryan Jones, Senior VP of Nightlife for Wynn Resorts, has been fired. It’s bad.<\/p>\n

Wynn’s COO, Brian Gullbrants, distributed an internal communication (see below) about the termination on April 16, 2026, saying simply: “Effective immediately, Ryan Jones is no longer with Wynn Resorts. Should anyone have any questions or concerns related to Wynn Nightlife, please see me directly.”<\/p>\n

Jones was shown the door after 15 years with Wynn Resorts. In the words of our fellow youths, “Dafuq were you thinking, dude?”<\/p>\n

While Wynn Resorts isn’t going to publicly talk about the circumstances of Ryan Jones’ abrupt termination, the story is sort of exactly what you might suspect.<\/p>\n

For context, word is an investigation into inappropriate behavior was started the morning of April 16, 2026. The internal memo went to Wynn Resorts employees later the same day.<\/p>\n

The speed with which Ryan Jones was ejected from his high-profile position is not common, to say the least.<\/p>\n

If you know anything about the history of Wynn Resorts and Wynn Las Vegas, you know about the fall of Steve Wynn. His fall rattled Wynn Resorts to its core, and a hard-and-fast zero tolerance policy is now ingrained into the culture.<\/p>\n

Nightlife is a minefield of nope.<\/p>\n

Ryan Jones traversed the minefield in a gasoline tanker with fireworks under each arm.<\/p>\n

This is obviously a big deal for Wynn Resorts for a number of reasons. It shows the company doesn’t mess around when it comes to bad behavior. There’s a lot of liability, both legally and reputationally.<\/p>\n

It’s also a big deal because nightlife drives massive amounts of revenue, and a vacancy in this position is suboptimal. XS Nightclub is Wynn’s golden goose.<\/p>\n

In the past, someone who makes money for the company caught with their pants down (it’s a euphemism) would’ve been sternly reprimanded and the wagons would’ve been circled. Everyone knows who the scoundrels are, at pretty much every Las Vegas resort. Many are still in charge of things.<\/p>\n

The removal of Ryan Jones illustrates how much things have changed, and also how much they haven’t.<\/p>\n

Update (4\/17\/26): Upon publication of our story, we were reminded Ryan Jones was named by a whistleblower<\/a> in questions surrounding an alleged “pay-for-play” scheme involving Wynn Nightlife.
