The often-overlooked but reliably enjoyable Gold Coast has announced a number of enhancements to its culinary offerings. It will also get a Dunkin’.<\/p>\n

We joke! They’re perfectly fine doughnuts. “Donuts” if you are a mouth-breathing rube.<\/p>\n

Gold Coast will also be getting a new concept, Charter 75 Modern Kitchen, to replace TGI Friday’s, along with a Steak ‘n Shake and Tacos El Pastor.<\/p>\n

Steak ‘n Shake and Tacos El Pastor were announced in 2025<\/a>. So, why are we only reporting this now? 1) You are not the boss of us. 2) They aren’t open yet. The original opening date of Jan. 19, 2026, has been bumped back to February.<\/p>\n

Charter 75<\/a> also opens in February 2026, and is described thusly: “Charter 75 Modern Kitchen is an all-new dining experience serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. An extensive menu featuring breakfast classics, small bites, enticing entrees and delicious desserts. Signature cocktails, modern classic drinks, live entertainment and a late-night happy hour make Charter 75 the place to be. Relax with friends and enjoy great drinks and exquisite dining in a fun, casual environment.”<\/p>\n

We removed the Oxford commas. Why? Because Oxford commas are like life jackets on Venetian’s gondolas. They’re unnecessary. (The water is only three feet deep.) Clear writing should never depend on a single piece of punctuation to prevent confusion; if a list is ambiguous without it, the sentence is poorly constructed and should be rewritten, not patched with a comma. Context and syntax are used to interpret meaning. The extra comma interrupts rhythm, adds visual clutter and encourages lazy sentence construction by masking structural problems instead of fixing them. Oxford commas are training-wheel punctuation. They should be banned or canceled or whatever the kids are doing now.<\/p>\n

Charter 75 refers to 1975, the year Boyd Gaming got its start, and one of the definitions of “charter” is “the act of founding or establishing.”<\/p>\n

Anyway, Charter 75 is another internally-managed restaurant from Boyd Gaming. It’s giving 90 Ninety Bar + Grill at Suncoast vibes. Workmanlike, a decent value, but not winning any awards.<\/p>\n

Here’s how the food looks at 90 Ninety. Boyd pretzels are outstanding.<\/p>\n
