It’s been a fairly slow news week, but never fear, the Internet is always up for a manufactured kerfuffle!<\/p>\n

Circa Las Vegas recently hosted a promotion, Slotapalooza, which included free T-shirts for guests. The T-shirts featured the number of slot machines in the downtown resort: 1,312.<\/p>\n

In an awkward twist, that number has another meaning in pop culture: It represents an anti-police sentiment, “ACAB,” or “All Cops are Bastards.” The numbers 1312 correspond to the letters of the alphabet for that initialism (A=1, C=3, A=1, B=2). A freakishly unlikely coincidence signifying nothing, but it got our attention, so it must be interesting.<\/p>\n

It goes without saying Circa had no idea about the “ACAB” connection, but the Internet loves a conspiracy theory and has way too much time on its hands.<\/p>\n

We first got wind of the 1,312 thing from Reddit<\/a>, whence all higher thinking comes.<\/p>\n

Circa’s Slotapalooza<\/a> promotion was otherwise uneventful. We took part by slaying at the slot tournament.<\/p>\n
