The poker room at Caesars Palace is back.<\/p>\n

It used to be in a room near Omnia nightclub, then it was in a space near the sportsbook, then it went away completely (in August 2024), now it’s back in the hotel’s Appian Way retail area and appears to be staying.<\/p>\n

Just take a turn at David’s scrotum.<\/p>\n

The new Caesars Palace poker room has a wee eight tables, but the room will be expanding soon.<\/p>\n

A manager at the venue said the space will soon expand into an adjoining retail space currently occupied by Misura.<\/p>\n

The expanded poker room will have 20-22 tables, and the expansion is expected to happen by the end of 2025.<\/p>\n

The new poker room feels a tad slapped-together. The goal was to reopen a poker space before the World Series of Poker (WSOP) which happens May 27 to July 16, 2025.<\/p>\n

Why has the poker room been moved around so much? Because poker rooms don’t generate much revenue for casinos, so they’re not a high priority.<\/p>\n

Poker rooms are an amenity for guests like salons, spas and prostitutes.<\/p>\n

Poker rooms were once pretty standard in Las Vegas casinos, peaking at about 70 such rooms in 2010. Now, there are 19 Las Vegas poker rooms<\/a>, with just 10 on the Las Vegas Strip.<\/p>\n

We knew things were going south for poker rooms when Binion’s got rid of its poker room. Binion’s is where the World Series of Poker got its start.<\/p>\n
