A formerly renowned Las Vegas buffet, Carnival World Buffet at Rio, is being walled off to make way for a food court.<\/p>\n

Technically, food hall.<\/p>\n

Despite what you might think, this is the most exciting thing to happen at Rio in a very long time.<\/p>\n

The closure of the Carnival World Buffet saved countless crabs and their legs.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Why is a wall exciting? Because it symbolizes the beginning of a new era for the long-neglected off-Strip resort.<\/p>\n

It’s a little bittersweet, as many pine for the days of yore when cheap buffets were bountiful and synonymous with Sin City.<\/p>\n

Out with the old, in with the new, we say.<\/p>\n
