It seems like only yesterday<\/a> when the Westin Casuarina announced it would become Max Casino at The Westin Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

Well, the slightly-off-The-Strip casino has wasted no time in slapping up new signs with a fancy new logo.<\/p>\n

Not for nothing, but Max backwards is Xam, a type of Vietnamese folk music.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

But wait, there’s more!<\/p>\n

Max Casino has already rolled out its new casino chips, and here’s a look.<\/p>\n

New casino chips just seem to play better.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

All this rebranding, of course, is an attempt to pump some new energy into this sometimes lethargic casino. The message is “Come back to The Max!”<\/p>\n

We were not paraphrasing.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In fact, Max Casino wants you back so much, they’re giving away money.<\/p>\n

If you convert your old Westin Casuarina loyalty club membership to a new one, you’ll get a commemorative $5 Grand Opening chip, no strings attached.<\/p>\n

We happen to be a huge fan of free money.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Yes, it’s a $5 chip. You can play it at one of the Max’s tables or you can cash it in, on the spot, for $5 cash. Of course, collectors like this Las Vegas blog would never do that. We’re keeping it!<\/p>\n

Here’s an interesting story about where chips go to die.<\/p>\n

New loyalty club members get $10 in free slot play, which isn’t too shabby, either.<\/p>\n
