The name of the spring 2022 display is “Flights of Fancy,” and it’s one of our all-time favorite Conservatory displays.<\/p>\n

Here’s a quick walk-through that doesn’t do it justice, at all, but we don’t live by society’s rules.<\/p>\n

Bellagio says the spring display features the most variety of plants and flowers ever used in the Conservatory.<\/p>\nIt shows.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31757\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31757\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-31757 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"\/vitalvegas\/dist\/images\/common\/transparent_3x2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/bellagio_spring2022_7.jpg\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31757\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Bellagio Conservatory is like a spa day for your corneas.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nIn addition to the visuals, the spring display even has a custom scent called “Lavender Woods.” If James Woods ever has a daughter, that would make a great name. Also, it’s very important James Woods never procreate. But we digress.<\/p>\nThe Conservatory has four “beds”: East, west, north and south.<\/p>\nThe east bed is the “welcome moment” for guests, featuring a bridge of moving clouds and a massive, 34-foot hot air balloon.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31751\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31751\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-31751 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"\/vitalvegas\/dist\/images\/common\/transparent_3x2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/bellagio_spring2022_1.jpg\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31751\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Conservatory is a wow-making machine.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nThe west bed has three hot air balloons, 15-foot-long clouds and several water features.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31753\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31753\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-31753 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"\/vitalvegas\/dist\/images\/common\/transparent_3x2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/bellagio_spring2022_3.jpg\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31753\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The clouds are made of baby’s breath and hydrangeas, which would make a great word for a spelling bee.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nThe north bed is decked out with “all things yellow,” including finches, butterflies, a frog and 16-foot-tall daffodils.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31756\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31756\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-31756 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"\/vitalvegas\/dist\/images\/common\/transparent_3x2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/bellagio_spring2022_6.jpg\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31756\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Shout-out to the koi fish! How bored you are will determine if you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedaily.com\/releases\/2021\/12\/211221133545.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">click on this link<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nThe south bed has hummingbird nests which don’t really look like actual hummingbird nests, but let’s not get bogged down in details.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31758\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31758\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-31758 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"\/vitalvegas\/dist\/images\/common\/transparent_3x2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/bellagio_spring2022_8.jpg\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31758\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hummingbirds are sort of mean to each other, but they have a great PR agency, so everyone thinks they’re sweethearts.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nA seasonal ritual at the Conservatory is breaking down all the sensory overload into handy trivia you can use to impress friends and drinking buddies.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31754\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31754\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-31754 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"\/vitalvegas\/dist\/images\/common\/transparent_3x2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/bellagio_spring2022_4.jpg\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31754\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">King Edward I of England rewarded servants who shelled the most peas for him, hence the term “green thumb.” Probably.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nThe “Flights of Fancy” display uses 15,000 roses on the largest balloon. There are 8,700 potted plants and it took 8,000 hours to create the display.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31759\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31759\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-31759 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"\/vitalvegas\/dist\/images\/common\/transparent_3x2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"1067\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/bellagio_spring2022_9.jpg\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31759\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Double up to catch up!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nBellagio’s team includes 80 artists, horticulturalists and engineers.
