We don&#8217;t, so nevermind.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The centerpiece of the 4,000-square-foot space is a large, decorative &#8220;bubble wall&#8221; behind the bar.<\/p>\n<p>The color-shifting, fluid-based wall is a mesmerizing backdrop for the libations to come.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17990\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17990\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption minutes, Googlewise.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a look, as we are clearly lacking in the vocabulary to adequately describe the thing.<\/p>\n<div data-mode=\"normal\" data-oembed=\"1\" is an inviting space with a relaxed, unpretentious vibe.<\/p>\n<p>As with too many bars downtown (Commonwealth, Downtown Cocktail Room) and elsewhere, the music is 20 percent too loud to comfortably\u00a0hold a conversation, but the kids seem to like it that way.<\/p>\n<p>For some time, the plan was to call the venue The Vault, but management thought better of that name as the concept was fleshed out.<\/p>\n<p>Corduroy is a reference to the fabric popular in the mid-&#8217;70s to the mid-&#8217;80s, and the music at the new bar reflects that era.<\/p>\n<p>The 1970s also served for many of the decorative touches at Corduroy, including a wall of vintage speakers and other audio equipment.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17991\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17991\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-17991 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/corduroy_bar_fremont5.jpg\" alt=\"Corduroy Fremont Street\" width=\"500\" height=\"750\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-17991\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Audiophiles will immediately recognize these items as &#8220;old things to set your iPad on.&#8221;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Beyond the appeal of the space, the menu at Corduroy is equally memorable.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a look at the signature cocktails, most reasonably priced in the $9 range.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17992\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17992\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-17992 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/corduroy_bar_fremont14.jpg\" alt=\"Corduroy drink menu\" width=\"500\" height=\"750\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-17992\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Don&#8217;t think of it as a drink menu, think of it as a to-do list.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Right off the bat, one must have Sex on the Beach. The sweet, refreshing cocktail is served in a Capri Sun-style juice bag, and costs just $6.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17993\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17993\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-17993 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/corduroy_cocktail2.jpg\" alt=\"Corduroy cocktail\" width=\"500\" height=\"750\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-17993\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Things just got all whimsical up in here.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We also tried the amazing Raoul Duke cocktail, with Tanqueray gin, Cherry Heering liqueur, triple sec,\u00a0Benedictine liqueur, Angostura bitters, grenadine bar syrup, lime, pineapple and a shot of Mezcal for good measure.<\/p>\n<p>Translation: It&#8217;s a certified Vital Vegas blog <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/panty-dropper-cocktails-las-vegas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">panty-dropper cocktail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17994\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17994\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-17994 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/corduroy_cocktail1.jpg\" alt=\"Corduroy cocktail\" width=\"500\" height=\"750\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-17994\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fun fact: &#8220;Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,&#8221; by Hunter S. Thompson, was originally written under the name Raoul Duke.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>During our visit, Corduroy&#8217;s Moscow Mules and Frontier Mules were being ordered faster than the bartenders could crank them out.<\/p>\n<p>The drink menu also features &#8220;Classics&#8221; ($10) and &#8220;Shooters&#8221; ($6.50).<\/p>\n<p>While the food menu isn&#8217;t expansive, there are some &#8220;Munchies,&#8221; including chicken pot pie, Hot Pockets, corn dogs and other quick bites.<\/p>\n<p>When you visit Corduroy, and you should, make sure to fully explore the space.<\/p>\n<p>Check out the classic video game table, as well as the irreverent restroom signs.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17995\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17995\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-17995 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/corduroy_bar_fremont8.jpg\" alt=\"Corduroy restroom\" width=\"500\" height=\"750\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-17995\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">We are easily amused.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Behind an unmarked door is a room for photo ops, with converging lights, vanishing point-style.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17996\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17996\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-17996 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/corduroy_bar_fremont7.jpg\" alt=\"Corduroy Fremont Street\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/corduroy_bar_fremont7.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/corduroy_bar_fremont7-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/corduroy_bar_fremont7-624x416.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-17996\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">And we got the Millennials back.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Beyond the main bar and a small stage for DJs, there&#8217;s a separate lounge area with comfy\u00a0furniture and small smoking room.
