Having two Hard Rock Cafe locations has always been a little confusing, so looking on the bright side, this helps clarify things.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9892\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9892\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9892 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/hard_rock_cafe_strip1.jpg\" alt=\"Hard Rock Cafe\" width=\"500\" height=\"750\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9892\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Strip&#8217;s Hard Rock Cafe appears to be going strong.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>No reason was given for closing the Hard Rock Cafe, but restaurants don&#8217;t close in Las Vegas when they&#8217;re thriving.<\/p>\n<p>Among the Hard Rock Cafe&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/hard-rock-cafe-serves-kitty-litter-new-drag-queen-brunch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">more memorable promotional efforts<\/a> was the &#8220;Rouge &amp; Booze: A Drag Brunch,&#8221; hosted by a Las Vegas drag queen named Kitty Litter.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, Hard Rock Cafe played host to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/las-vegas-drag-queens-attempt-world-record-for-largest-drag-stage-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">world record attempt<\/a> for &#8220;Largest Drag Stage Show.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10975\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10975\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10975 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/drag_show_record16.jpg\" alt=\"Drag show world record\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/drag_show_record16.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/drag_show_record16-624x416.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10975\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">It was unclear if the world record was broken, but nobody seemed to care. Hint: Bottomless mimosas.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Hard Rock Cafe is the second &#8220;cafe&#8221; with iconic signage to close in recent months. The Strip&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/vitalvegas\/thats-wrote-harley-davidson-cafe-las-vegas-strip\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Harley-Davidson Cafe<\/a>, with its massive motorcycle, shuttered on Oct. 31, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the skinny on the relationship between the Hard Rock Cafe and Hard Rock Hotel\u00a0&amp; Casino. Since 2007, the Hard Rock global brand has been owned by the\u00a0Seminole Tribe of Florida. All the Hard Rock Cafes and most of the Hard Rock hotels in the world are operated by the tribe. Hard Rock Hotel &amp; Casino, though, is owned by\u00a0Brookfield Asset Management through a licensing agreement and managed by Warner Hospitality.<\/p>\n<p>Brookfield bought the Hard Rock Hotel &amp; Casino Las Vegas <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reviewjournal.com\/business\/hard-rock-ownership-transfer-finalized\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">back in 2011<\/a>.
