Jason Aldean\u2019s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar<\/strong> will occupy 10,00 square feet on the second and third floors of 63 Las Vegas, <\/strong>atop of which sits Ocean Prime <\/strong>steak and seafood.<\/p>\n

Clark County records indicated only building permit applications for a \u201cVegas Country Music Restaurant\u201d at 3716 Las Vegas Blvd. South, 63\u2019s address. The applications value its construction at about $10 million.<\/p>\n

The eatery will compete directly with Blake Shelton<\/strong>\u2019s Ole Red,<\/strong> which has been doing brisk business since opening in January outside the Horseshoe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Aldean has a strong but tragic connection to Las Vegas. He happened to be performing on stage at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on Oct. 1, 2017, when Stephen Paddock began a shooting rampage from his Mandalay Bay suite that eventually killed 60 innocent country music fans.<\/p>\n

How to Rock Cheap Lobster Rolls<\/h2>\n

When Angie\u2019s Lobster<\/strong> opened on Aug. 2 south of the Strip, the Arizona-based chain brought $9.99 rolls to Las Vegas packed with a quarter pound of Maine lobster each.<\/p>\n

How can they price them $15 less than all the other restaurants in town — especially so far from an ocean?<\/p>\n

Angie\u2019s owners Tony <\/strong>and Roushan Christofellis<\/strong> also own a wharf on Bailey Island, Maine, where they purchase lobster right off the boat, process it in their own plant, and distribute it using their own trucks and drivers.<\/p>\n

Angie\u2019s, at 4835 Blue Diamond Road, is named after Tony\u2019s late mother, who founded Angela\u2019s Seafood in Boston.<\/p>\n

Dining Ins & Outs<\/h2>\n

Afters Ice Cream <\/strong>has closed at Virgin Las Vegas. <\/strong>No word on what will replace it yet.<\/p>\n

Break, the coffee shop on the Fontainebleau<\/strong>\u2019s second-floor Promenade, <\/strong>took a permanent break on July 28. Future plans for the space have yet to been announced.<\/p>\n

Chinatown <\/strong>has welcomed Soup-erb Wagyu Hot Pot & Grill<\/strong> to its growing list of Asian options 1 mile west of the Las Vegas Strip.<\/p>\n

Lauren <\/strong>and Jason Taylor, <\/strong>the couple who owns Nevada Brew Works<\/strong> in the Arts District, has named a new craft beer \u201cNumber 9 Ariana Rye\u201d after their late daughter, who passed away at age 7 from complications related to cerebral palsy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
